Is my teenage son texting too much?

My 13 year old son has been texting ever since this morning nonstop without stopping, he does stop for things such as homework, practicing piano and eating and sleeping. But when he has any free time at all, he texts. Money isn't the problem (we have an unlimited texting plan,) I just want to know if this is the same thing from different teens and if I should be worried.

Well every teen does that. Actually not every teen. I'm 13, and I hate texting. I like talking on the house phone better. lol.

I think it's normal for all teens to text a lot, personally.. I'm in my second year of college and people still text like crazy. My little brother is around his age and does the same thing. It's not your son, it's everyone around that age. I'm sure he has a little crush or someone of that effect that he's talking to nonstop. Don't let it interfere with homework, his social skills, or family time like dinner though. It was a rule at my house as well that we'd have to put away our phones for the entirety of dinner. Hope I could help a little bit!

Take it from me I've been texting non stop since I was 15 lol I can txt without looking txt behind my back txt with my toes... jk about the toes. Do you remember that best friend you had your whole life? Or a new boyfriend? Or the funniest person you know? Texting is a way to keep your favorite people with you 24/7! He's just enjoying talking to his friends & being social. It's kind of like people with really good matabolisms if they can eat a whole pizza and not gain a pound and they still eat their vegetables so they're eating good why not let them? lol If he's having fun and he still respects others by listening to them and not texting when he should be showing you respect let him have his fun especially if there's a new gf in the picture! girls love to just TEXT ALL DAY LONG!

Every teen does that, but the thing is, I think every teen texts to much. It's really annoying when I'm talking to a kid my age and they just start texting.
