I work for Verizon so I have had a ton of experience in all of the smartphones that we offer. There are many phones under the Android OS umbrella, currently they are the htc eris, motorola devour, lg ally, motorola droid, htc incredible, and motorola droid x. The htc incredible and the motorola droid x are the "high end" smartphones that verizon offers. I personally have the motorola droid x and I am a huge fan of this phone. It has a 4.3 in lcd screen running a 1ghz processor. This phone also has a 8mp camera with dual flash! It has the ability to record video in 720p and then play it directly on the phone via hdmi port located on the phone! The screen size is the major selling point of this phone being 4.3 inches. If you are looking for a smaller screen with the same amount of kick the htc incredible may be a better phone for you guys. I have had both and like the motorola droid x much better however. The battery life for the droid x is decent with me having to charge every night. I am a very heavy user however so you can gauge your usage to battery life.. In any case you will not have any issue getting a full days charge out of it. The phone has a large screen, very responsive, fast and snappy and overall a powerhouse of a phone on the android os
