Is 3-D filmmaking really the next evolution for cinema, or is it just another passing fad?

It's here to stay. I haven't seen a 3D movie yet, but some people thought sound was a passing fad. I'm hearing about 3D televisions. It's here to stay. Who knows what will come along next? I save some magazines and I look at some from the late 1980'a and early 1990's and really expensive computers are being advertised. They have, according to the adverts, "an amazing 8 k of RAM!"

Sometime in the 1880's or 1890's the director of the US Patent Office advised the President of the US that he should close the office because "everything that can be invented has been invented."

    And he was right!

Nothing in cinema is just a FAD. Things work in some places and dont in others. Truthfully, 3-D may last, and get to the point DVDs have gotten to. When dvds first started coming out, everone was like oh thats cool, maybe ill get a few, but ill stick with my VHS. Now its like, oh blue ray looks cool but ill stick with my dvds.

One of the main things with 3-D is that it shows depth, so actors cant fake punches as well as they used to on screen. The person watching can tell whether in connected or not, so the new jackazz3D is perfect for this genre, for the fact that they dont fake anything! But things like the new Resident Evil Afterlife, actors and actresses are in for some fun because they will have to actually be WILLING to basically get punched in the face over and over. I think it is a cool new genre being portrayed new and differently than before, but the overpriced thing really ticks me off. The world revolves around greed and money and thats just bullsht in my opinion. They need to fix certain things with 3-D like the glasses problem, people get headaches halfway through and stuff like that. But overall its a great thing to finally be on the rise, And i see it sticking around more and more for a while.

They probably are just going to keep advancing with technology, so 3D movies will probably just get more advanced..
