Poll: Do you like your team's announcers?

[It's 4:30 in the mornign and I can't sleep, so I'm asking a random poll]

Are they interesting? Biased? Boring? Fair? What would you change about them?

I like the Phillie's announcers, they're fair, honest, and They all have perfect "Baseball" voices.

Vin Scully. so that would be a major yes. Vin is not biased in the least (sometimes i wonder if he is even a dodger fan hahaha) He talks about all players and teams equally. i wouldn't change one thing about Scully. hes the best! does it all by himself and there is never a quiet moment. i learn years of history listening to him talk for 10 minutes.

  • I love the Yankees announcers, I like to think of them as my friends! XD Since most of the Yankees announcers are former players (with the exception of Michael Kay) they are definitely interesting, since they have baseball stories. I think all announcers are at least a little bit biased, but I like to think that Michael Kay and everyone else is pretty fair to the other team too. I like how the YES Network has a lot of announcers, so there's lots of different play by play combinations. For the series that the Yankees are playing now, Michael Kay, Ken Singleton, and Al Leiter are doing the YES games. But sometimes, it's Michael Kay and Ken Singleton, or Michael Kay and Paul O'Neil, or John Flareghty and Ken Singleton. I wouldn't change a thing about the Yankees announcers, I love 'em all! :)

I love the Cardinals announcers! Mike Shannon, Dan McLaughlin, Al Hrabosky, and Rick Horton.

They're fair and give there own opinion on the game, but keep the facts in too. They also add a little fun to it by making some jokes. I think they have the "perfect baseball" voice too.

Phillies Color announcers are alright, Tom and Chris can get so off topic at times which get's pretty annoying. I like their calls and I think they're very knowledgeable when it comes to baseball, but I don't think they're biased enough(lol). For the radio, Scott and Larry are pretty good even with their flaws.

I like the Mets announcers, especially the 2 guys on the radio, Howie Rose & Wayne Haigan.

The Phillies announcers are OK, but were better when Harry was there.

For the Blue Jays we have a group of good unbiased announcers.

TV When he isn't doing radio for ESPN Buck Martinez is a good play by play man for Jays games. His colour men are also good. Pat Tabler is my favourite but Rance Mulliniks is getting better. Good baseball minds who would be great coaches lending their expertise to the TV.

On Radio, Tom Cheek should be in the Baseball Hall of Fame. It is a travesty that he hasn't been inducted yet. But Gerry Howarth and 'Original Jay' Alan Ashby make the game on radio seem to be like you are there.

None of these guys are biased to the Jays. In some ways I wish they had a little bit of the Hawk in them to spice up the game. But when a Jay player screws up his errors are there for all to see. Umpires rarely take the blame either.

For me the Yankees. People complain about the radio announcers all the time but I dont 'mide them at all. The one I can't stand is lead TV guy Michael Kay. The guy is a walking cliche. He repeats the same things every single time certain plays happen on the field. Not just the now required for everyone "signature" home run call, but everything. If he's not doing that he's plugging his talk radio show or acting like he's hosting the show. He is just plain gawd awful. The best broadcasts are the one's he misses...

The sixers. those adult adult males are so stupid that is not humorous. until eventually now this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days i replaced into staring at a pastime wherein they have been dropping 17-0 early in the 1st quarter, and the Celtics had no longer ignored a shot yet. one in each of those gomers certainly made a remark that the sixers are already outrebounding the Celtics on the offensive end 5 to 0. And the different one ( blend i think of his call is) certainly fed into it and reported, ya nicely a thank you to conquer those adult adult males is to conquer them off the glass. It replaced into like 2 of the three stooges calling the pastime. i've got seen them years in the past whilst iverson replaced into there, they may be down via 20 and AI might make an impressive basket and that they might make it sound like he stumbled on capability or some thing. " AI no longer basic TO THE CUP!, WHAT A PLAY via the respond!" yea nicely, they might nonetheless be down via 18 without desire of triumphing, yet those adult adult males make it sound like only provided that play replaced into all that mattered.

I'm really spoiled as a Giants fan. I love all of the announcers for the Giants. Someone here said that they feel like they're your friends and I couldn't agree more. All of them: Mike Krukow, Duane Kuiper, Jon Miller, and Dave Flemming are excellent and make me really enjoy listening to the game.

I absolutely love Jerry Remy and Don Orsillo. They are so funny together. Always having the most random conversations (once it was about traveling and Don's massive hair brush, or in Remy's words, 'a manbrush') XD They are certainly. Probably a bit bias, but Remy always speaks him mind. We might get an error... 'That was a TERRIBLE play', lol. He'll say what he thinks, and I like that. I'd say that the two are fair, and I wouldn't change anything about them. They are so great :)

Yes. Bob Brenly and Len Kasper TV for the Cubs are the greatest. Len gets critizized a lot because he doesn't know a lot about baseball supposedly, and he always asks bob for a verification. It gets annoying sometimes but I miss Harry Caray
