Kicker Soundgate line went under?

Looking at my options in adding external amps to the factory head unit. The Soundgate Loc4.4-4 was a perfect choice, until I went to their website and found that they had discontinued the entire processor line that Stillwater had. No reason, just a "Sorry, we no longer make these". Any insight as to why they dropped it? Anyone know of a comparable item (that a working guy can afford?) Thanks.

Why they dropped it? It probably wasn't profitable with most people buying the cheap alternatives. Just like they buy cheap amps and cheap subs because they "seem" to be just as good because they list higher ratings, but turns out to be junk.

I'd recommend a quality line output converter from David Navone. The N-RHL4 is a little more expensive than your typical Scosche, PAC, or Metra, but it's well worth it:
