if my religion says that it is wrong to wear cloths does this mean i can walk into the bank naked?

well it seems to me that some people in britain walk into banks and shops with there face covered and get away with it because of there religion, were as the motor bike rider next to them is asked to take off his helmet. so my religious belief that we were born with no cloths and they should only be worn when the weather dictates the need ie when it is to cold. or is britain a christian country and we should dress and behave in away that is with the rules and laws of our country regardless of our own religion, and if someone can not live with in these rule then they should leave this country

Since when did Britain become a Christian Country? How often do you go to church?

But your adoption of Christian values seems a little selective

As a god-fearing person no doubt you'll remember the most important commandment - "love your neighbour as you love thyself" - last time I checked there was no exceptions for neighbours who happen to be muslims, burka-wearer or immigrants - I think God meant everyone.

If you are not prepared to be tolerant of others religious beliefs - which is a cornerstone of British society - why don't you leave to a less tolerant country.

    Try Saudi Arabia.

They're very big on intolerance, bigotry and closet racism.

    You'd love it there.

It's really up to the bank - if a bank said they were banning face covering of all sorts in their branches there would be nothing illegal about this. Many banks would rather set aside the increased security worries (which are probably pretty small anyway) in favour of keeping their many customers happy. As well, banks like HSBC have hugely profitable Islamic finance products which might suffer greatly if the bank received bad press from that community. The bank can stop you walking in naked whether it's your religion or not.

So you need to decide who you're cross at - it's not the government (this one or the last one),it's not the council, it's not the courts (who recently held it was lawful to require a teaching assistant to take off her veil), so in the end it's just the manager of the bank. Write him a letter. Tell him how cross you are.

The "rules and laws" in this country say you can dress as you want in public so long as it doesn't cause a breach of the peace (like if you went round with a t-shirt saying the c-word on it huge letters), and they are the "rules and laws" you're talking about. On private property you can set whatever dress codes you like. Just try walking into Harrods dressed as a clown and see how far you get. But there's nothing stopping you on the street.

It seems to me that you don't want people to obey the rules and laws that we've always had in this country, which let people do what they want. You want to write some new ones which make people dress like you want them to dress. You're the one who wants to change Britain. And I was born here, my parents were born here, I daresay I'm the same colour as you, and I don't want your new rules. Why do you have more rights than me to decide what sort of Britain we both live in?

i think of the genuine project right it particularly is that we make an exception for them too often. whilst i flow to observe for a job and a call for is that I could be waiting to communicate Spanish, I could ask what this united states is coming to. I certainly have lived in seven different worldwide places and in each and every, in the event that they did not communicate English, I had to be taught their language. i replaced into in France, I had to be taught French. Germany, comparable ingredient even however each and every youngster over there has to take 9 years of English in school. they only won't communicate English. so as that they don't love it that they could tutor there face to get a license, don't get one. you do not prefer to tutor your face once you flow to the financial company, use the ATM exterior. i do in contrast to being searched on the airport. guess what, i don't fly for that reason. base line, in case you do not in trouble-free terms like the way issues are in this united states... flow away. that's not our activity to house you.
