Retirement from Worker's Compensation?

I worked for the Federal Government and was injured. I have been receiving monthly benefits from the US Department of Labor, Office of Worker's Compensation Programs (OWCP) for 16 years.

Assuming that I remain disabled, do these benefits continue for life, or must I switch to a disability retirement when I reach a certain age?

Neither. Disability retirement does not exist. When you reach full retirement age, you switch to social security or the pension plan of the government agency you used to work for.

Contact the Dept. of Labor or SSA.
