This is a trail light weight training shoe, site I see said weight is 9.6 oz. which is on the light to average size for a train shoe b/c usually have more rubber and grip on the bottoms. Don't know if your looking for off road or on road shoes? If on road and looking for both 1 U can train/race in weight needs to be around 7 to 9 oz. If looking for good trail shoe anything between 8 to 10 oz. will be great. http://www.joesnewbalanceoutlet.com/detail.asp?sty...

Those definitely look like trainers. The thick rubber and shock absorbers give it away However, the type of "racers" you would need vary depending on the race you want to participate in. Races on a track demand a set of lightweight racers with small spikes that help grip the track surface. Cross Country racers are heavier and have large spikes meant to deal with the rougher terrain. Marathon and other street racing shoes are their own distinct category, and typically attempt to maximize shock absorption since your running extremely long distances.

Surgical spirit, truly thick cotton socks, a smear of cocoa butter over the ft earlier hand, and that i became horrified to get a deep abrasion which drew blood, and took a protracted time to heal, from a pair of professional, high priced distance working shoes. there became an component-trim hung on through nylon sewing, just about like fishing line, which had a pointy end to it, which did the wear to my foot. examine your running shoes for any sharp ridges interior.
