Vegetarians/vegans: Do you trust the "veggie" burgers from Burger King, ect?

My mom also tries to get me to order a veggie burger when we go to places like Burger King or other restaurants. But honestly I just don't trust them. I can see them flopping my burger through the whole kitchen and letting it sit with other meat. Because I know they couldn't care less about keeping it separate. Do you trust those places? I cook them at home, but at restaurants? No thanks.

I'm a vegan, so I don't eat Burger King's veggie burger because it contains milk. But, yeah they have publically said that their veggie burgers are not for strict vegetarians but for people who want something "healthier". They say it would be too expensive to purchase a seperate grill just for the veggie burgers, and not all the franchises could afford it...

Burger King uses Morningstar burgers, which is a reputable vegetarian brand, and the cooking process is completely separated from the meat line. So yes, you can. But make no mistake: just because the burgers are really vegetarian doesn't mean they're not junk food.

Just a place like burger king makes it a big NO. It's best to avoid those fast food restaurants all together, especially when there a great healthy alternatives. I think a place with a 'actual' veggie burger, and it tastes really good would have to be fudruckers...

I trust the Bk veggie because it's been certified by peta(although I'm not really fan of peta or the bk veggie). As for other veggie burgers I'm not very trust worthy of them because as you said I can't see when their making it.

No way. It most likely does get contaminated with the other animal products they use. That's why I prefer going to all veggie restaurants. Or somewhere that I can see exactly what goes in my food. But that's just me and my preference.

If I were a vegetarian or vegan, I'd have trouble trusting food from any restaurant or fast food place.

I don't trust the regular hamburgers at fast food restaurants, and I'm not even vegetarian/vegan.

They all just taste terrible, the entire menu.

I don't eat fast food, and I don't trust them at all lol. I mean, you answered your own question. They fry them on the same grill as the other meat, and there could always be a mix-up. :l

i only trust restaurants that say they use a seprate grill from the others, just ask around and you'll find a couple restaurants that have different grills
