Can you recommend some classical music to study to?

I usually jam out to punk rock, but lately I've found that listening to classical music while I study or do work helps me concentrate and relax.

I really like music with lots of strings. Antonio Vivaldi is my favorite so far, so do you know of any music or composers with similar sound or maybe your own personal preference to study to? Nothing too booming or disruptive because that wouldn't be good for studying. Thanks.

Handel is my guy! (I adore Vivaldi as well!)

    - The Messiah (choral as well, might be disruptive)

    - Music for the Royal Fireworks

    - Water Music

    - Violin Sonata in E major

Anything Handel (or Vivaldi; they're my 2 favorites).

Also I have this awesome CD w/multiple artists I believe called "Trumpets Resounding". I love trumpets and this is an awesome CD!

Elgar is my favourite because of his Enigma Variations - all orchestral music and it's filled with so many emotions and moods. I would definitely recommend them as study music.

Sibelius' suites (especially the Karelia Suite) and symphonies are wonderful too - such smooth and rich music...hmmm talking about all this music is making me itch to listen to it!

I also like to turn on the radio and listen to the classical station - Don't know where you are, but in Sydney 92.9 FM is great :)

Generally, I don't listen to music with lyrics because I end up singing along and totally lose my concentration!

Hope you find something you like!

    Anything by Mozart.

Nox Arcana is a cool instrumental band.

Pouring Reign by As Blood Runs Black is good.
