I'm sick and tired of them "refugees" getting gold service?
Why cant the Government do the right thing by it's own? I was listening to the local ABC radio early one morning and hear some refugee "spokesman " and he mentioned that some of them have been in temporary housing for up to 2 years.2 bloody years. I've been homeless since the beginning of the year, living in me car. The maximum that the gov. helps the poor and homeless with is 4 WEEKS and then we're back on the streets. I'm on disability and thanks 2 government legislation, i cant get a loan of the banks 2 fix me car let alone a loan to buy a piece of land so i can get of the streets and better myself. Its nice eh, the government will help me pay off someone else's home but wont let me pay off me own.
Now that's funny scott.I would love 2 work and get a good income but I CANT due 2 medical conditions. and yep me car's got somethin called a laptop

Because the government is too damn politically correct and don't have the balls to do what needs to be done. They just care about appearences. The truth is that these refugees are entering illegally, breaking not only Australian law but international law.
International law states clearly that a refugee does NOT have the right to choose which country they recieve asylum in and must be taken to the nearest willing country to their place of origin.
Australia has a system in which refugees must apply for to gain legal entry. That way they can be vetted and checked out properly. The waiting list for this is long, and everytime a refugee comes on a boat, they are delaying the time it takes for the honest applicants who are doing the right thing to get in.

You're well enough to drive, move interstate and supposedly have sex with women, but not find any sort of work - I find that difficult to believe.
In regards to refugees and asylum seekers, my feelings are mixed - some are money drains that take up places that would be better filled by migrants who apply legally "through the front door", others go on to become very productive members of society (ie, one of the blokes I served overseas with was once a refugee).
It bothers me just as much that some of my tax dollars have gone towards Centrelink payments for people that simply choose not to work.

If I was a bank, I wouldn't give you a loan for "a piece of land" because you're not working and are on a fixed income. How do you expect to pay it back? I don't think the refugees are just sitting on their butts day after day.
From what I'm reading, you're sore because you want the government to fix your car, give you land and allow you to remain on disability and not work, all for free. It's got nothing to do with the refugees.
