Inception film, how do you interpret the ending and why?

Well... since you said "Will not give any details", I take it as no spoilers here.

I think he was still dreaming, because he just couldn't leave his love.  Also because the top never stopped spinning.  There were a lot of things in that movie that didn't really make sense.  Like, so okay, dicaprio finally revealed that if they died in the dream, they would not immediately wake up, but would be stuck in that dream state.  So what happened then to dicaprio when a couple of them woke up in the van as it was going under, but leo and a couple others were still sleeping?  Did they "die" in that first dream level?  Perhaps... I don't know, but his proteges didn't seem too concerned about leaving them there in the van, stuck underwater... There were other things.  I'm definitely going to have to see it again.

I'm just very confused & need to see it again to catch anything I may have missed the first time. What I don't understand is that Cobb said everyone needs their own totem, but his was actually his wife's, so was his wife right all along? Also when they killed themselves to escape that "little world" they were in did it just bring them up to the next level.. meaning that when Cobb's wife killed herself for the second time she actually returned to reality while Cobb stayed under.. so the whole thing was Cobb's perception --> this also makes sense because whenever Cobb see's his kids they're always wearing same clothes & when he see's Saito in the beginning/end Saito has aged while Cobb hasn't.
