Extreme teething for 16-mo old?
I've read older Q&A, but just want reassurance that we're not alone. My daughter has 6 front teeth, the first molars on top have crowned, and now we're on to the bottom. Teething seems to be lasting forever, and it's excruciating. I feel like I'm giving her Tylenol like it's animal crackers. Everyone I speak to says, "oh, our son opened his mouth one day, and there they all were!" Any genuine advice is welcome.

My daughter's teeth have all come in clusters of 2-4 at a time. She's 16 months and has 8 in front, 4 molars, and is currently getting her canines and the ones below. Sometimes I give her Tylenol but try not to because we've had two of the bottles that have been recalled. When she's crying and touching her teeth I give her baby orajel which she opens her mouth for. We also give her frozen peas, frozen corn, and miniature frozen blueberries which is an easy way to numb the area. I think we're close to being done but it feels like it has taken forever for us too. With the molars coming in I would try to massage the area as much as you can without being bit because my girl had her molars all the way broken through but with the gum still stretched over the top and it was really tough on her. I've heard this helps but don't know if it really made a difference. I think people that say all the teeth were just there one day blocked out the teething experience (which is hard on us parents too) just like you do after childbirth :)
