Apparently your screen resolution has been increased.

In Windows XP, you may change your screen resolution by going to your Control Panel, Clicking on Display, going to the Resolution tab, and moving the bar to a lower resolution.

there are two possible reasons. one is the resolution has been changed (already been mentioned) but there is also the possibility that the screen DPI (dots per inch) has been changed. to change it back, right click the desktop, click properties, in the settings tab, click advanced. in the new window, the general tab should have something called "Display" and under it is a way to change the DPI of the monitor, not the resoulution. If it's below 96, then set it back to 96 to go back to normal. if it is at 96, adjust it to 120, and see if that helps.
