Why did American Jewry vote for Obama?

To the extent of 78%?

Because the vast majority of Jewish Americans are: a) have at least a bachelor's degree and b) are non-religious and secular.

High level of education + secular values = liberal.

There ARE Jews who are conservative. These are your religious whackjobs, who are absolutely no different from their Muslim or Christian fundamentalist counterparts.

I have asked the same question repeatedly. The only thing I can figure is that most American Jews are so detached from their history and Israel's struggles that they have no allegiance to Judaism.

I also think most American Jews would have so much guilt if they voted Republican that they couldn't face their families.

It makes no sense as Obama and the dem's have clearly thrown Israel under the bus.

  • Thank you for illustrating again the Republican bigotry. And they voted for the best candidate for the USA, that is why.
