Is asking the same question more than once not OK on Y7?

It depends. If it is asked in a slightly different way, in a different category, at a different time, it is NOT a violation.

But, if a person repeatedly asks the same question (or virtually the same), over and over, day after day, hour after hour (and many do), then they are obviously trolling / spamming. And should be reported.

However, any answer that is NOT an answer (insulting, rude, etc.) is ALSO a violation - and should be reported.

It is perfectly ok to ask the same question again, if you don't abuse it. It is always a good idea to reword the question slightly based on the answers you got the first time. That also prevents most people form complaining about it. So, asking two or three times is ok, asking 10 times is an abuse of the rules. Anything in between is a gray area. Five times in a year may be ok, five times in a week is a problem.

Asking the same question more than once is just fine, as long you are not doing so frequently. It is also not a violation to ask the same question in different categories. But make sure the question is relevant to its specific category. Posting the same question repeatedly may be considered as trolling and is a community guidelines offense.
