I am a public school teacher music teacher/band instructor, mobile DJ, play the trumpet, keyboards, mallet percussion and hand bells. I am married with three children and have much life experience to share with people. Most of my answers are truly meant to help people. Once in a while I write an answer to a really silly question with a silly answer but the vast majority are serious in nature.
Is asking the same question more than once not OK on Y7?
Some people really get down on other people for doing so. I view it like this....If the person didn't get enough answers the first time, it's certainly OK to do the questions again. Adults who don't get the answer they want from one doctor go to another for a "second opinion." If they get the same answer, they learn something and if they get a different answer, they will have to think hard about which they agree with. I say to the people that put them down like this: "get a life, why did you bother to put an answer like 'you asked this before....stop it." I consider that quite rude. Your thoughts?
3 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoWho can tell me about Top Contributor status?
For awhile there was a yellow tag under my avatar that read Top Contributor. Now it is gone. I thought it was because I passed a certain amount of points that that appeared but evidently not. Does anyone have a perspective?
I don't care what level I am and I don't care about the points. I just care about helping others and sharing an opinion. It felt good to be a Top Contributor for awhile so it is just curiosity that I ask.
6 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoI just crossed over into level 5...What do you think I should do?
Really, I do not think it's anything special....just a personal celebration that I was able to help many people on Y7 answers.
10 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoWhat's the order/meaning of XOXOXOXO?
I was under the impression that it meant "Hugs and Kisses" in that order. Yesterday someone told me they thought the Xs were the kisses...which would be backwards....Who knows the order for 100% sure? Also, for 10 points, how did this tradition start of writing XOXOXO on the bottom of love letters.
13 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoHow did you get your avatar to show up here in Y7 answers?
I'm older and pretty up in technology buy can't seem to figure this one out. I ended up on a yahoo site to make an avatar, made it, saved it and thought it would just appear here.....
didn't happen.
Probaby a duh for most of you but if you could make some suggestions for the steps I could take, I'd be very thankful!
5 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoWhy do women shave down there?
I'm a guy and quite old fashioned. If you see lots of pics on the web of naked women, they are nearly all completely shaved down there. Is that just a fantasy or are more and more women shaving down there as a normal thing? Is that the new definition of what is beautiful? What are the reasons to do that? What are the reasons not to?
11 AnswersHair1 decade agoOver many years of observation, I wonder what you think of my opinion here.?
I am a mobile DJ and have noticed an increasing trend for a specific artist or title to be "out of style" only mere weeks after it's "hot." There seems to be no lasting value of music like in the "old days" for the young folks of today. I don't care of you like their music but think of the Rolling Stones still playing their music live and people loving it more than 40 years later. People still request Frank Sinatra at the events I do, even young folks. Even Michael Jackson tunes are still requested despite his current weirdness. Does it make you wonder if Soulja Boy will be listened to with that kind of love 40 years from now? Will people still listen to Brittany Spears, Justin Timberlake, Ludacris, Flo-rida, etc? What music of now do you think will last (more than 4 weeks LOL!) a long time and be listened to many years to come?
