Very low blood pressure and cholesterol why am i fat?
I am 24 years old and 230 pounds. You wouldn't think it by looking at me. I have thin arms and legs....just a gut. My blood pressure is 120/70 and my cholesterol is 170. I have no known health problems, I am fairly active and not a bad eater. Since I was 14 I have just gained weight and loosing it seemed impossible. Are there any test anyone knows of or anything I can do to help loose weight? I know going to the gym etc... but is there something a doctor can look for? Please help.

You may have Hypothyroidism, which is caused by insufficient production of thyroid hormones by the thyroid gland. I recommend going to your doctor, explaining your situation to them and a simple blood test will be able to detect if there is anything wrong with your thyroid. If there is something wrong, they will give you a prescription for Thyroxine medication. Good luck :)
