93 chevy cavalier, ecm fuse?
My 93 chevy cavalier keeps blowing the ecm fuse. It was running fine until my wife shut it off at the bank, when she restarted the car it ran about 10 seconds and then died. Found the ecm fuse blown. replacing it does no good. It just blows again. It's a 2.2 liter 4 cylinder automatic. Anyone have any ideas? Need help asap.
Remind me the next time I ask a question on YA of just how stupid people that lurk here really are.
I have a 350 v8. The 2.2 is a better car.

short circuit in a heat sensitive component or wiring...trouble is you can't keep power supplied long enough to find the problem...check wiring to ecm. look for heat distorted insulation. other than that you will need to get a donor or used computer [ that is known to be good] to isolate the problem...good luck!....there is a dangerous way...by pass the fuse & watch for smoke or spark,s...this method is not recommended.....if you choose this method....you will need all the luck you can get.

in case you have replaced the alternator and the battery easy or gauge remains exhibiting the battery isnt charging then you definately could have a foul twine that leads from the battery to the alternator
