If you had to choose: Career or Love?

..............and having both was not an option?

At this point of my life I chose career.

I chose career. I'm a locomotive Engineer that started out with BNSF (Better Not Start a Family, LOL). Now I'm a Boomer Engineer which means I drift around as needed between 4 different railroads. It's a life I love. I date sometimes and have friends and loves in various towns I have to stay in sometimes. But I could never settle down with one woman in one house. I need to always have the horizon in front of me.

At this point in my life I feel like I can do both. I have found someone whom I believe I can have a loving relationship with and now I should work on a career. Love is easier to find that most people think. When you find it, you just know and you work on it. But you can have both. Although a career takes a different kind of effort, it can become a double life that not many people can handle.

My career. I love my career. It makes me who I am and I've turned down many men because they can't handle me traveling a lot (I travel for work) but it makes me so happy and I can't be happy unless I have someone who supports my career so I'd pick career. Love makes you happy but doesn't pay the bills. My career makes me happy and I never get in fights with my career and it never cheats on me ;) PLUS it pays the bills so I can't go wrong with my career

Well I have to say both. I can't live in a world without a education-to-become-job as well as love-- whether its family, personal, friendship, or social love. It just won't work out for me. I mean for now, I'm going to focus on my career mostly, though I'm just going to be a freshman in college in the next few weeks, but I'm trying to do excellence in higher-education school levels for my future. When I make my dough, then I'll do soul-searching for my love.

    Hey

You didn't specify who I am supposed to be loving, is it a partner or relative? Anyway I would choose career at the moment as I need money.

  • I am in a 3 year relationship... I would still go for the career, u can always meet some1 else later

Just like Lady GaGa once said, "a career wont wake up in the morning telling you it doesn't love you anymore." But, Idk... I never experienced love, and I'm 16 so I don't have a career... yet. xD I would think I'd choose love, though. BTW, when I say I haven't experienced "love" I mean like, love as in being in a relationship. xD

I choose LOVE. A career is important but that special one may come along just one time.
