According to Republicans / Cons if Iraq is Obama's war then what ever happened to Bush's Mission Accomplished?

In Iraq .

If the mission was to get rid of Saddam then why did Bush stay there ?

Could it be War profiteering and OIL ?

I suspect so.

Update:

Shamus if all you have are insults then obviously you can not answer my question

Great question. Bush, being who he was, is and will always be, counted his chickens before the eggs hatched. He took us to Iraq for 4 reasons only.

    1. To avert attention away from Afghanistan, as if he had found Bin-Laden, he'd have no leverage to hold America hostage and keep us controlled with fear.

    2. To get Saddam for trying to kill Bush 1.

    3. To give Cheney'$ company Haliburton all the contract$ to rebuild Iraq after Bu$h de$troyed it.

    4. With all that oil over there, he thought he could get in on $ome kind of deal.

Never once thinking about the tens of thousands of Iraqi's that were killed, or the 4000+ American troops he murdered.

But the story didn't end. It went on for 8 years and Bush even gave up trying to win saying that it was up to the next president. @DouceBag...:: Germany started World Wars I and II. The world was at risk of being occupied by Germany and the US Democratic president went to war to stop it. The North Koreans with the help of General McArthur violating presidental and UN orders not to go north of the 38th parallel. General MacArthur was relieved of duty because of it. The Bay of Pigs was a secret CIA mission. It failed because JFK ordered it halted against the objections of the CIA top brass. The actual start of the Vietnam War was in the Eisenhower administration, JFK was about to withdraw the troops we had there when he was shot. Johnson and Nixon expanded the war on advice of the US military generals. z

yes, and the 4 to 1 killed in combat under Bush vs Obama.

Bush started both wars and Iraq is damn sure not Obama's war. Afghanistan's escalation is, but Afghanistan is the longest war in US history and Obama has been president 20 months. The War in Afghanistan began on October 7, 2001 though it was being planned BEFORE 9/11!

Bush was like a one minute lover.Wham.bam,thank you mam.The man just wanted to look good for the troops. One of your Y/A answers ask the question "where is the oil" It there and the big boys in the oil business have already geared up to get their share. The only thing holding them back is who to deal with. The Iraqi parliament can't come to an agreement on who get what.Once that's settle,it full speed ahead.

You suspect wrong! This is the truth!

"We don't take our forces and go around the world and try to take other people's real estate or other people's resources, their oil. That's just not what the United States does," he said. "We never have, and we never will. That's not how democracies behave."

Importance of Iraqi Oil to the U.S.

During December 2002, the United States imported 11.3 million barrels of oil from Iraq. In comparison, imports from other major OPEC oil-producing countries during December 2002 included:

Saudi Arabia - 56.2 million barrels

    Venezuela 20.2 million barrels

    Nigeria 19.3 million barrels

    Kuwait - 5.9 million barrels

    Algeria - 1.2 million barrels

Leading imports from non-OPEC countries during December 2002 included:

    Canada 46.2 million barrels

    Mexico 53.8 million barrels

    United Kingdom 11.7 million barrels

    Norway 4.5 million barrels

    The mission was accomplished.

The mission was to remove Saddam from power, and that took about three weeks.

What oil, and what profit? Well, at least we have Saddam out of power. And from what I've come across, we're staying in Iraq so they don't have a civil unrest or a revolution with another dictator coming into power.

That was only Mr Steele who said that at a fund raiser, everybody knows when the war started.

Wait a minute! hasn't the left been using that for years now as a put down, so either you think the war was over with that statement or it was not and it is now obama's war. You can't have it both ways.

The reason we are still there is that we are restoring civil institutions in order for Iraqis to run their own affairs, not oil or profiteering.
