website to build free website?

Hiya,

I was wondering if there is place that i go that i could build my own website that works pretty well, and is ABSOLUTELY free (not limited time free.....i mean like free for the rest of my life free )

PS: i would prefer it not to have sign up's, but if i hafe to......i will

    Loads of options, as the others have said, but don't waste your time with free sites because they will not show up in a Yahoo or Google search, which will mean no visitors and you'll have wasted your time. Just learn html and css, build your site for free using microsoft notepad, and then buy some really cheap hosting and an even cheaper domain name. Try http://www.freewebtutorial.co.uk/

    Free Webs. Which I think is now just webs.com. That's who I have my website through. It's free until you exceed your bandwidth which took me over a year. Then it costs just a few dollars a month until you need another upgrade at which it's $100 for a full year.

    Unfortunately they all require a sign up, but blogger.com is run by google and is 100% free. It works really well and allows for good customization. You can also do wordpress.com which is a little bit more complicated, but allows even more customization, and is also 100% free.
