Whats with all the non-clickable links on Y!A ?
When people used to add a link to their question it was usually clickable. Now you have to copy and paste the link into your browser.
Is it just me who's getting this problem? If not, does it annoy you?
Is yahoo gonna fix this?

Level 1 users are unable to post clickable links, an anti-spam measure Yahoo took a while ago. There are many people who join Y!A for the sole purpose of spamming the site, without posting any useful Q and A. If Level 1 users are unable to post clickable links, then these spammers won't be as successful as less people will go to their links, some of which may contain nasty malware.
These spammers get reported, deleted and suspended meaning they hardly ever reach Level 2. So while legitimate Level 1 users suffer the inability to post clickable links, if they are serious about Yahoo it won't take them long to reach Level 2 where they become able to post clickable links.
I have not yet experienced problems with users on higher levels being unable to post clickable links, and when I see an unclickable link I instinctively check the user's level.

It's just a plague of Level One users, who are mercifully unable to post clickable links.
It doesn't really annoy me. I don't access links except those that are from people I know anyway.

I do believe that level 1 users are restricted in their ability to add a link Dr.House.
May I suggest a brisk walk around the block to clear your mind and relieve some of the frustration you may be feeling?

That one seems to have been going on for a long time. The other strange thing is that sometimes they are non-click links, then when you go to answer, they are blue and you can click on them.
I'm not sure why it's so hard. As a programmer, I can say that they just look for certain things in a string of text, and if they exist, they tell the web browser to go there. That's ancient stuff as far as internet goes.

Level ones. But before I could answer this I had to go outside and threaten to beat two drunks in the head with a night-stick who were fighting all over my car. Happy Friday nite.

It's not just irs .gov links. I tried posting links from the NJ and NY tax sites, and they didn't work. CA did work, though, although that may have changed. (Canadian goverment tax sites worked in the Canada section, although that may also have changed.)

I've got something you can "click", Baby!!!
Seriously though, it's been hit or miss. Some of them I have to copy and paste and others I can just click on the link. Yeah, it is somewhat annoying: (

It has been a pain. Also, after I answer every question it comes up with the Sorry! notice. It is very frustrating. I wish they would get things cleaned up.
