If God/Allah was real?

Why would believers have to force "nonbelievers" to follow its commands?

From a Christian perspective, it doesn't matter if a "non-believer" follows one, two or all of God's commandments or "sins", they are still going to hell. In other words forcing your "morality" on others does not help them in any way.

I'm not as familiar with Islam, but what good is it if someone does not believe in Allah but has to follow Allah's rules?

A side question, if your god is real, why do humans need to enforce your god's rules? Isn't your god powerful enough to do this, or are you worried that your god won't actually judge people the way you want it to?

"Why would believers have to force "nonbelievers" to follow its commands?"

“If it had been your Lord’s will, all of the people on Earth would have believed. Would you then compel the people so to have them believe?” (Quran 10:99)

“Let there be no compulsion in religion. Truth has been made clear from error. Whoever rejects false worship and believes in God has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that never breaks. And God hears and knows all things.” (Quran 2:256)

These verses clearly state that a Muslim is not supposed to force any one to convert.

Believers have no right to force anyone to follow Commandments of God. Period !

LOGICALLY it would be ridiculous even to ask someone to practise something which s/he doesn't believe in at first place.

RELIGIOUSLY, nothing such thing is Commanded by the Good Lord. Instead we are Commanded:

O believers, LOOK AFTER YOUR OWN SOULS. (Chap-5, Verse: 103)

It's explicitly Commanded us to stay Responsible for our deeds exclusively!

At many places in Koran it is clearly written that The Guidance only rests with God and not on any mortal, including even the Prophets !

HENCE, such Muslims are perverted themselves who compel others to practise God's Commandments by those that do not believe in the God of Abraham at first place.

Moreover, This is what God Almighty Commanded The Prophet in Verse 271 of Chapter 2:

    Thou are not responsible for guiding them;

but God guides whomsoever He will.

Actually such a behaviour among Muslim clergymen & the common Muslim folks who blindly follow them in reality depicting the lack of firm faith in All-mighty, All-powerful, the Omnipercient, Omnipotent God.

Muslim Clergymen always tell you Islam is in danger... but when corrected that Not the Islam but Muslims are in danger. They fail to make out the difference between the two. :D

Towards bottom line, the God that Muslims believe in is for real and our God is as real as the God of Abraham, and Moses, and Jesus. You will have to read this verse 130 of chapter 2 yourself and to reach to a conclusion again by yourself:

Say you: 'We believe in God, and

in that which has been sent down on us

and sent down on Abraham, Ishmael,

Issac and Jacob, and the Tribes,

and that which was given to Moses and Jesus

and the Prophets, of their Lord; we

make no division between any of them, and

    to Him we surrender.'

Say: 'Would you then dispute with us

concerning God, who is our Lord

and your Lord? Our deeds belong to us,

and to you belong your deeds; Him

    we server sincerely.

Main answer: Free will coupled with fear, misinterpretation, and taking disconnected passages out of holy books to suit ones own thoughts/views. Jesus' ministry was never about forcing people to follow him. He was/is always there when/if you want to follow him. In Jesus' ministry it's never too soon but also never too late.

Side answer: Once again, fear, misinterpretation, and taking disconnected passages out of holy books to suit ones own thoughts/views. Judgment is reserved for God and God alone. Judging others in Gods name is not actually following him and is actually going against God's will. The Bible is a guide for us to know how to live our own lives and is not a guide on how to judge how others live theirs.

Allah gives us free will to do good or bad, in the end your supposed to know that its your own actions that lead you to hell or heaven. No ones recruiting anyone for islam wtf. Actually you see more christians than muslims recruiting for the religion. Most muslims wont force religion on anyone but if someones interested, they will inform them and answer any questions. Thats it. If someone puts all their energy into making the argument "ARE YOU STUPID AND UNEDUCATED? THERES NO EVIDENCE OF GOD BLAHH" i would certainly not give a cr@p. It's their life why would i care.

Source(s): If people do try to force or endorse their religion on anyone can you really hate them for that? If they think that they are trying to help, shouldn't the person be flattered that they would give a crp about them?

God gives the rules, and then gives humans free will to follow his rules. Ultimately He will alone judge each man and woman for what they have done with their life.

    Take care,

Peace upon truth seekers [hope you become one] it is a matter of "your choice" where "you" end up.

Indeed, We created man from a sperm-drop mixture that We may try him; and We made him hearing and seeing.

Indeed, We guided him to the way, be he grateful or be he ungrateful.

    Quran 76:2-3

And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it,

And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness,

He has succeeded who purifies it,

And he has failed who instils it [with corruption].

    Quran 7:10

    =================

all Jesus Christ [son of Mary] ppu them demanded from people:

"follow me" like 14 times in all 4 Gospels. and, he made it clear: "worship God ALONE" like in Matthew 4:10 & Mark 12:29-32

BTW, my Lord: "R"abba; my father: abba [in old Aramaic & still Arabic] if you pay attention to that, and, ignore what Paul added up like:

    original sin,

    saved by Jesus' blood, .....

Jesus is Lord [which in disagreement with teachings of Jesus and God; read Mark 12:29-32]

Question for you: Do you believe that all religions are acceptable to God?

  • 1 decade ago

Many people worship a God I don't know why anybody would worship, except out of pure abject terror.

I don't think religion has to be like that, though.

God gave us free will, and allows us to make decisions on our own... many choose to do bad, and thats their choice.

and no one is forcing their beliefs on someone. They are trying to persuade them.
