14 weeks pregnant! I am Worried sick! Please help!?
Ok to make a long story short,i am 14 wks pregnant and have high blood pressure. My doc ordered me to do a 24 hr urine collection to see if i will develop PreEclampsia and they also drew my blood,Well took my urine back this morning and the lab lady told the nurse that my blood work was back that she might want to look at it cause the doc might want to see me before i leave. SO she looks and it and says "HMMM" then goes to find the Dr. She attemptd to speak to him 3 times but he was busy with other patients. She then comes back to tell me to come back Monday that my urine reults would be back then and he would discuss both the results then, SO now i am freaking out cause of the way she said HMMM. Does anybody know what would or could show up in your blood work at 14 weeks? Thanks for any help!

I have had plenty of doctors say, "HMMM" over different things such as urine samples, blood work, etc. It turned out, every time I heard the nurse say that, there was either nothing wrong or it was a minor problem. I am not a doctor but I would recommend that you stay calm. Do not worry yourself over this when something may not even be wrong with you or the baby.
I am in my second pregnancy and am high-risk, but I don't let it worry me. Worrying over things will not help, trust me. Just know that plenty of pregnant women have had to struggle with high blood pressure but ended up having a healthy pregnancy. I am sure everything will be alright! =)

Don't worry too much she may have said that because there could have been nothing to show up and she didn't know if the doctor would want to speak to you. If it were something bad she would have mentioned it to your doctor. I developed pre-eclampsia myself if there is protein in your urine your doc will call you to tell you if you have it or schedule you in a an appointment. Maybe she said that about the HCG level?
