What is actually going to take place at The Second Coming?

A few questions about the long awaited arrival of Jesus that i wouldn't mind getting the answers to:

Where and when is this event going to take place?

What happens at it?

Will anyone get a heads-up as to the imminent arrival?

What is Jesus waiting for? Nice weather? Does his dad not control the weather?

Does anyone really believe that a second coming will happen? If 2 world wars couldn't shift him, then i don't what else could.

I know i've presented these questions in a light hearted manner, but they are all valid questions.

Update:

Nivek-I notice you've done what many other Christians do-selective reading....it may actually say that in Revelation or in Matthew, but it also states that God is to be found by those who seek him and then it conradicts itself by saying that he is NOT to be found by those who seek him....

@Sue-I don't want to knock your beliefs, but if God is waiting until man destroys the earth, then why will he feel the need to send fire and unleash his wrath? And then the resurrection of the dead begins?? Sounds like a storyline from a new zombie film.

It also sounds like being ruled by a dictator? Unless you do and say what he wants, you're doomed to an eternity of fire and hell.

Before i make massive decisions,i like to know more info.I weigh up the options, then decide. But to blindly follow what 1 person says and not be allowed to question them, sounds like a cult to me..

Jesus is not coming again, because he never existed in the first place. There's no reliable evidence for Jesus, Yahweh, Allah, Zeus, Thor, or any of the thousands of other gods that people have worshipped.

No historian of the first century wrote about Jesus, and many would have if he existed. The Jesus story is largely composed from many stories and sayings from the OT, and other myths, deities and saviors.

Jesus was probably created by Paul of Tarsus in the 50's. If there had been an actual Jesus, Paul would have known much about his life and teachings. He didn't. Paul and the other epistle writers, including Peter, don't seem to have known any biographical details of Jesus' life, or even the time of his earthly existence. The epistle writers don't refer to Bethlehem, Nazareth, Galilee, Calvary or Golgotha — or any pilgrimages to what should have been holy sites of Jesus' life. They also don't mention any miracles that Jesus was supposed to have worked, his virgin birth, his trial, the empty tomb, his moral teachings, or even his disciples. These parts of the story were likely added in the 70's by the unknown authors of the gospels.

Jesus is not returning yet. It is not time.

Jesus comes just before man destroys the whole earth.

God is not sending Jesus to install the kingdom of God until it is shown to man, that man cannot survive without the guidance of their creator.

It has to be shown that satan the ruler of this world who lives in the unseen realm with the host of fallen angels is totally incapable of being king overall.

God will restore His Kingdom at the appropriate time. The time of Jesus second coming is a supernatural event. The bible says that it will be a unique day never seen on earth before. The sun , moon and stars will not give their light.

The heavens are opened and the messiah will be seen coming in great glory with the angels for the harvest of the earth.

Fire comes before Him and the earth is devastated by the wrath of God almighty.

Humans run into caves and crevices of the earth to escape the coming wrath of God.

The first stage of the resurrection of the dead begins.

Satan and His fallen angels are locked up in the abyss.

Jesus will be the king in God's new Kingdom and his kingdom will reign forever.

    Only God knows.

Let's put it this way. My father was the vicar of a parish in the English Lake District. In the grave yard there was about 7 inches of soil and then it was granite. He did not permit the use of pneumatic drills, so some of the graves were not dug pointing exactly east. When someone complained, he said, 'If the dead can stand up on the day of Resurrection, then I'm sure they can shuffle round a bit.'

Jesus has already arrived sort of speak....this happened in 1914 according to bible chronology....he has become king of the kingdom that we pray about in the lords prayer....the same kingdom spoken about in

Daniel 2:44.....soon this kingdom at Gods command will cleanse the earth of all wicked elements Psalms 37:11 and Revelation 21:3,4....true christians were aware of it because of the signs.....what major event took place in 1914?....WW1 also in Revelation 12:9 was another major event...this was the cause......How, then, is the time calculated down to 1914? Counting 2,520 years from early October of 607 B.C.E. brings us to early October of 1914 C.E., as shown on the chart.

    CALCULATING THE “SEVEN TIMES”

    “Seven times” = 7 X 360 = 2,520 years

    A Biblical “time,” or year = 12 X 30 days = 360. (Rev. 11:2, 3; 12:6, 14)

In the fulfillment of the “seven times” each day equals one year. (Ezek. 4:6; Num. 14:34)

    Early October, 607 B.C.E., to December 31, 607 B.C.E.= 1/4 year

    January 1, 606 B.C.E., to December 31, 1 B.C.E. = 606 years

    January 1, 1 C.E., to December 31, 1913 = 1,913 years

    January 1, 1914, to early October, 1914 = 3/4 year

    Total: 2,520 years

What happened at that time? Jehovah entrusted rulership over mankind to his own Son, Jesus Christ, glorified in the heavens.—Dan. 7:13, 14.

James, I am afraid a quick answer will not really satisfy your need for accurate information. First, let me mention, the theme of the Bible is God's Kingdom. Only that kingdom reign will rid earth of all evil and restore the paradise God purposed for this earth and mankind. The first prophesy that related to the Kingdom is found at (Genesis 3:15) - "And I shall put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed. He will bruise you in the head and you will bruise him in the heel.” Part of this prophesy has been fulfilled; the bruising in the heel of the seed of the woman. This, when Jesus is bruised in the heel; (figurative meaning) he was not fatally wounded because he was resurrected. This took place in 33 CE when the Romans put Jesus to death at the behest of a Jewish mob. Since he was resurrected, the wound proved "not" to be a fatal. The second part of the prophesy was "not" fulfilled then. It would take place at a future time. According to prophesies in the Bible, he began reigning in the fall of 1914. However, it was not yet time for him to fulfill the second part of the Genesis prophesy, bruising Satan and his seed in the head, a "fatal" blow. We are now entering the fall of 2010, putting us 96 years into his heavenly reign. Understanding that his second coming would be as his ascension into heaven, where at a point above the clouds, his decent into heaven was invisible. His second coming would be invisible also. His taking Kingdom power to sit on his throne was the beginning of his second coming; invisible, as his entrance to heaven. Where he would arrive in Kingdom Power? Initially, in heaven. When? "1914." The first thing happening, according to the Bible - he ousted Satan and his demon hoard from heaven and cast them down to the vicinity of the earth. - (Revelation 12:10) - "the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God!" Satan, in his angry state, having been cast down to the vicinity of the earth, knowing he had a short period of time, caused chaos among the nations of the earth, which spawned two world wars and countless battles since. (Revelation 12:12) -"Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to YOU, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.” Another prophesy of Jesus is found at Matt. 24:7 - "For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress." These things are still continuing as prophesied. As mentioned, these things are only the beginning of pangs of distress. Jesus continues: "And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come." Since Christianity was established by Christ and his apostles and disciples in the first century many false prophets stemming from among first century Christians and those influenced by Paganism, would corrupt the true Christian religion once the last Apostle died. That, as simple as it may seem, is the reason why we have so many religions among Christendom that all claim to be Christian. Referring back to Matt. 24:14, In order to find out who are modern day true Christians, all you have to do is recognize who is taking the lead in preaching the Good News of Jehovah God's Kingdom in all the earth. This good news must reach all nations, tribes and tongues. Only God knows when this preaching activity by true Christians will be sufficient for him to bring destruction upon those who have rejected this opportunity and not taken heed. It will be the same as it was in the day of Noah when He closed and sealed the door to the ark. Jesus disciples questioned about the conclusion of the system of things. Jesus reply: (Luke 17:26-30) - "Moreover, just as it occurred in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of man: they were eating, they were drinking, men were marrying, women were being given in marriage, until that day when Noah entered into the ark, and the flood arrived and destroyed them all. Likewise, just as it occurred in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building. But on the day that Lot came out of Sod′om it rained fire and sulfur from heaven and destroyed them all. The same way it will be on that day when the Son of man is to be revealed." James, this is only some of the Scriptures concerning the end of this system of things. If this answer interests you, and you would like to know more mail me at bayoutecheboy@hotmail.com - The heads up: the Bible message. When the final fulfillment: Jesus is waiting on his Father, Jehovah. (Mark 13:32) - “Concerning that day or the hour nobody knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but the Father."
