Fantasy Football Draft Tips With Bonus Points?
Hey guys...just joined a fantasy football league and there are a few bonus points Ive never played with before. 10 bonus points for 300 passing yards, 10 points for 100 recieving yards, and 10 points for 100 rushing yards. How should this affect my drafting strategy?

Since there's a similar bonus for each position I don't think it affects your strategy too much. One thing it does do is make Chris Johnson far and away the number one pick if you didn't think so already.
I looked and last year he hit your bonus 12 times including 11 straight to close the year.
AP only 3 times but I bet he does better this year.
Other high picks - Andre Johnson 6, Randy Moss 5, Aaron Rodgers 5, Drew Brees 7.

Chad,
With funky scoring rules like that the only way to truly prepare is to do some statistical research. I have a solution for you that won't take much work and will give you a nice advantage on draft day.
I have a website that allows users to create fantasy football cheat sheets online using drag and drop. Each positional cheat sheet has lots of features, including a configurable note. If I were you, I'd use the note area to record how many [additional] points each player received in 2009 based on your custom scoring rules.
For instance, Brees had 7 games last year where he threw for over 300 yards. So, in Breess player template area, I would write (+70) in the note area. Then, as you're ranking your players, you can take these additional points into consideration. My cheat sheets already include the standard stats from 2009 (including Total Fantasy Points and Fantasy Points Per Game), so the note column could act as a 'bonus points' factor when creating your rankings.
Check out the link below and give it a shot. My site is completely free and should make preparing for your draft a brees. When playing in a league with funky scoring rules, those who understand the true value of each player with have a HUGE advantage, so do your homework.
Good luck

what are the points for passing touchdown? usually when there are bonus points for qbs, there's also a higher than average number of points per passing touchdown, like 6 (i.e. equal to the number for rushing tds)
if so, that means qbs should be the focus of your draft.
