What do boiled frogs and the GOP have in common?

4) Palin believes man-made global warming is a farce

All frogs if they hopped into some boiling water would jump out immediately.

However if a frog hops into a pot of cool water over a fire it will swim around in the water until it dies from the increasing temps.

Sarah Palin, GOP at large, tea party are all comfortable in their artificially cooled homes. They pay no attention to things like rising global temperatures or the consequences of green house gas effect and it’s exponential temp. increases from trapped long wave radiation .

If you want to see dead boiled frogs falling from the sky vote GOP.

There is none so blind as he who will not see.

I live in Montana and have been visiting the Park formerly known as Glacier for 30 years. I have watched Glaciers that were miles long melt down to where there is nothing left by the end of August every year. But you will never convince those who refuse to see.

It's hard start reading the news and not hear about this glacial shelf breaking apart, of homes being destroyed because perma frost lines that haven't moved in centuries are creeping up. Then there was the island that was part of India that no longer exists because it is now all under water.

But, if your a Republican, you can just quickly breeze over that stuff and ignore it. Just like they used to do when they thought the theory of evolution was just a theory, or that when the first manned flight proved heaven was not above the clouds, or when the first space ship proved that the outer planets were not fixed to a crystalline sphere.

We could have saved the world, Vonnegut said, but it was too expensive.

P.S. Gore does carbon exchange for his houses. Gotcha!

Does that mean the global warming that happened at the end of the Ice Age was caused by humans too?

Here is the thing though... China and India are the next industrial giants who pollute WAAAAYYY more than Americans do...as a whole. Add in Mexico with horrible air quality standards and its a mess. Until those countries curb their emissions, anything America or the Europeans do will be insignificant.

Oh...and unless you live in an irrigation ditch and eat grass I bet you contribute to green house gasses as well. Hypocrite.

Ah, the politics of fear. Nice to see that this propaganda just won't go away. In the '70s, we were all gonna freeze to death due to global cooling and melt from acid rain. I don't care how you vote. Frankly, there is no politician or conventional party that is ever going to "save" you, but they'll sure play on your fears to stay in power and accumulate more power and wealth. This is the same verbal and mental gymnastics that insists conservatives wanna censor art. Yet who was banging the drum of the PMRC? Why, that was Tipper Gore and her liberal sisters! Who wants to censor video games? Joe Lieberman and Hillary Clinton. But it's those nutty conservatives who wanna use govt. to take your freedom and ability to choose away from you, right? There are conservative nitwits out there who assert you are going to hell for touching your nether regions, but they aren't politically relevant. Damn, I have no time for people who are ready and willing to be told what to think because a perceived authority figure said so. Your apocalyptic vision certainly has a religious tinge to it, does it not? Believe as you will, but I am old enough and experienced enough to know when someone is using fear to influence my opinion and actions. This is why I assert the climate change crowd is practicing a religion, not science. It is ALL about fear and about NEVER questioning doctrine. Your frog soup from heaven scenario is akin to every fear mongering sermon and threat used by religious leaders of yesteryear and today to get the throngs to shut up and obey. If you can't see this, I've wasted my time, but you are free to be told how to think and believe.

Really? Let's look at the King of Global Warming Alarmist--your hero, Al Gore-------------

Gore’s mansion, [20-room, eight-bathroom] located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service.

The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy. In 2006, Gore devoured nearly 221,000 kWh—more than 20 times the national average.

Last August alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWh—guzzling more than twice the electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire year. As a result of his energy consumption, Gore’s average monthly electric bill topped $1,359.

Hell I was surprised the american masses didn't learn their lesson after 8 years of RayGun pulling the whole country's economy and environment into the outhouse to put another GOP dipshit in there for another swing at economic ruin. On the hopeful side, much like the RayGun years-- the GOP-right has swung radical right again-- and lost (hopefully) much their middle ground. Faux news and it's popularity worries me sometimes, but makes me wonder how many folks, like me, just watch what they can stomach of that "fair and balanced" (my ***) dribble just to see how ridiculous it's gotten. Much of the vocal far-right is so obviously television-educated and so radical.... so out of touch even with their own damn circumstance...

Oh, but to answer your question. GOP and boiled frogs similarity? Very similar IQ's.

It looks like you already answered your question to your own satisfaction. But to add my opinion, they have nothing in common.

Do you not think that Al Gore and all his Hollywood faithful have artifically cooled homes? They do pay attention to global warming but then go about their selfish little lives living large, carbon footprint wise.

What I want to see is politicians that do the will of the majority of the citizens and that is why I will NEVER vote for another Democrat as long as I live.
