Ablett Vs Swann whose better ?

Swan. Ablett handballs all day, with swanny, its long effective kicks to a target.

Ablett for mine. They both get a fair amount of the ball, but ablett has that special something that stands him out from other players. Make no mistake, Swann is a creator, and a match winner in his own right, but Ablett has that special something, Hereditary as it seems to those with the surname Ablett, that stands him apart from all other players.

On this year's form, I'd go with Swan. Just brilliant this year. Ablett's had a bit of a patchy year.

On career so far, I'd say Ablett by quite a way. Ablett's been there done that - (two flags, Brownlow etc). Swan has it to do.

Silly answer but coming up to the finals, I'd have Ablett because he knows all our game plays and obviously fits in at Kardinia. If Ablett broke his leg and the Pies were kind enough to lend us Swan, then I wouldn't knock him back!

They both get a lot of the footy, but for me Ablett uses it all the more dangerously. Can create a goal out of nothing. Sure Swan can sneak in the odd goal too but he doesn't have the foot work like Ablett does.

Ablett broke free from a clearance and bombed a goal from 60 out last night.

Swan cant run as fast, shrug tackles as well or kick from 60.

Ablett by the length of flemington straight.

Definitely Ablett, better creativity and agility in front of the goals also more accurate..can play forward..Swan would be hopeless.

Also Ablett has better stats in contested possessions however Swan's better in number of kicks department though

Lets access which is more useful to St Kilda.

I pick Swan as he kicks much more and that means more marks for Rhys Stanley, Kozzie and Reiwoldt. He also has gottne more disposals and less injury prone. Gazza kicks more goal than Swan but with Reiwoldt, Milne and a few more the supply or goals is solid enough. Dane Swan also has more tackles.

All in all they are both equally matched and depending what team it is the answer is always different.

Leaning slightly towards Ablett, his disposal by foot is better than Swans, but Swan is closing the gap fast, his disposal has improved out of sight this season.

Ablett career wise for sure, but I believe Swan has had a better year.

ablett is more effective. only negative is that he just recieves the ball not like swann who goes in hard and collects.

In regard to performances this season, i would have Swan, purely for his consistency. On natural talent, goal kicking etc, Ablett would possibly just win my vote.
