Is it legal for me to fly a radio controlled plane at our local park?
The park has a large field and I will only fly if the area is clear of people.
Are there laws regarding this sort of thing?
I have a HobbyZone Super Cub, if that makes any difference.

Sure, as long as you don't terrorize other people and it is flown safely, go and enjoy your Sunday

Assuming you are flying in the US. The HobbyZone Super Cub is called a park flyer. These are electric planes under two pounds. Rules on R/C flying vary from public area to area. The amount of area you should have to fly is a couple football fields in area or larger. Park flyers are allowed more in public areas than general (open) flying. If Parkflyers are allowed, you usually are required to have at least a Park pilot AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) membership.

Most parks do not have a problem with electric planes. Basic rules are to watch for other people (early morning is the best time-no people and light winds). I would check with the owners of the park for any regulations that they may have that aren't posted or have been torn down by kids. Other areas that you can also use are school play grounds and parking lots. The group I used to fly with, met at a high school parking lot, and would spend hours flying. Check with your local hobby shop to see where else people fly, what flying clubs there are in the area. Most of the clubs have a flying field, and are willing to help people fly. Gas planes have to be flown at what is called a legal field. The field is insured and is large enough for gas planes, and is not near houses.

Well with some fields, the council have rules saying you can only fly planes on Sunday. Soo for precautions, i would ring up your council to clarify the rules of flying on the field. They only have rules as residents living in that area near the field complain about the noise the planes make.

it somewhat is not the final thought beacause what if the airplane crashes...budgies tend to have fragile bodies so if he doesn crash, the ingredient won't sense the final after wards. it would desire to like it, yet you should be careful...hmm i ponder whether they have budgie helmets? lol
