Favorite "REAL" Screamo/post-hardcore/emo bands?

The popular version of those terms is to describe bands like My Chemical Romance, The Used, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, A Day to Remember, etc.

But many people shun the above bands and their commercial music and like the "true" or "real" emo/screamo/post-hardcore bands. As you could probably tell by my slanted description, I'm one of them.

MQ: So what are your favorite bands of the latter type?

Here are mine. If you don't know any, then just check these out and comment on them.

Victor! fix the sun - "Karma Suits Ya"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3jXL82oGaQ

Circle Takes the Square - "Crowquill"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mxyANPy19g

Native - "Ponyboy"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqlCr6_dlUc

This didn't post last time, let's hope it does this time...

Update:

And if you're really bored, a few more:

Kidcrash - "Turtlelephant"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPcDGgIzNkA

Cinemechanica - "Antsinjapants"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYMgO37gnvo

Update 2:

I don't care what you think is real or your definition to be honest. For the purposes of this question, I'm talking about MY thoughts, which also happen to be the general consensus. Hence your thumbs down. And Dave also shut you down genrewise, so gtfo.

@Dave, Alexisonfire are one of the few modern post-hardcore bands that are somewhat commercial that I like. Dallas Green is awesome.

Update 3:

@Tater And I never used the word "legitimate" and I *definitely* never used "legit". All the bands you listed are legitimate bands. However, they are in my mind not "real" screamo. Not all of them are even screamo in the commercial sense.

And to the one who agrees with you, 30 Seconds to Remembers isn't a band.

A long time ago, I tried to give a lecture to this section about the difference between media emo/screamo and the actual stuff. The question got deleted within seconds of posting.

MA: I really like Circle Takes The Square, their proggy sound is really cool. I haven't heard the others, but Raein is a pretty intense band.

The only post-hardcore band I enjoy is Alexisonfire.

Oh, and to the other guy, As I Lay Dying are metalcore, Lamb of God is groove metal, The Black Dahlia Murder is melodic death metal, and Born of Osiris is tech death with hints of deathcore. So basically none of those bands you mentioned are deathcore, nor are they really respected. Good job.

Cap'n Jazz and Sunny Day Real Estate.

The guy above me... his list rocks, by the way.

*EDIT* Sorry, by the guy above me, I meant Cumverg. :)

I'm with Tater. All music is real music. It's just a matter of personal taste. My personal favorite? Silverstein. <3 but I also like:

    Alesana

    A Day To Remember

    Attack Attack!

    blessthefall

    A Skylit Drive

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus (yes I love them, and I am proud of it)

Breathe Carolina (more electronic but whatever)

    For All Those Sleeping

    30 Seconds To Remembers

    All That Remains

    I See Stars

    Enter Shikari

    Set Your Goals

  • Ink Dot Boy is pretty good and there music is free.

What's "real" is your own opinion. People always consider the music they like "legit" and put down the music they don't like.

    Bands that i like:

    As Blood Runs Black

    Whitechapel

    Alexisonfire

    blessthefall

    Veil of Maya

    The Color Morale

    Hopes Die Last

    Born of Osiris

    Arms Like Yours

    Alesana

    Attack Attack!

    I See Stars

    August Burns Red

    Haste the Day

    Parkway Drive

    As I Lay Dying

    The Acacia Strain

    Bring Me The Horizon

    We Came As Romans

    The Word Alive

    Fit For A King

Chevelle (actually alternative/rock but one of the greatest bands out there)

    The Devil Wears Prada

Our Last Night (MUST check these guys out)

    And many many more....

For some reason people usually consider heavier, more deathcore stuff (As I Lay Dying (not deathcore actually), Born of Osiris, Lamb of God, The Black Dahlia Murder) more "legit". But again, it all depends on the person.

The people who dislike me are the douchebags who don't consider the bands i like "legit" (just because they don't like them)
