Panasonic LUMIX camera error message: Help please!?
I have a panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 Digital camera. I am getting an error message that reads "MODE DIAL IS NOT IN THE PROPER POSITION" I've tried to move the mode dial (obviously) and the message remains. I've messed with trying to take a picture with it, but nothing happens; the error message is stuck on and I can't do anything with it.
Can anyone tell me a reset or something? (And please, no smart *** 'put the mode dial in the right position' type answers!! Thanks.

If rotating the mode dial and a power off reset doesn't take care of the problem, it's time to replace the camera, under warranty if you can.

that distinctive problem happened on my Lumix ZX50 two times. It became brought about the 2d time via keeping the digital camera in one in all those style that the potential button became pressed as quickly as I inserted the battery. have been given the gadget blunders (concentration) message. The digital camera wanted to close down with the lens prolonged. tried dropping the battery out while the lens retracted. a minimum of I have been given to guard the lens that way. The treatment is a timing trick. Have the battery door open, your hand on the battery launch lever. potential it on, pop the battery launch in basic terms formerly you get the gadget blunders. Trial and mistake. this is worked for me two times. you're able to be very responsive to how the way you handle this digital camera with connection with the potential button.

First check your owner's manual for a possible write up on this message. I don't think you'll find it but check anyway. Then check the manual to see if you can return the camera to factory settings.
Barring that you may need a pro.
