who is your favorite red sox player?

I have two all time favorite Red Sox players, Carl Yastrzemski and Dwight "Dewey" Evans. The two best defensive out fielders I've ever seen wear the Red Sox uniform. But most of all two extremely classy people. One is in the hall of fame and the other should be in the hall but for whatever reason is not.

I'm a Red Sox fan, so I have 4, haha.

*Clay Buchholz: Great young pitcher. Can't wait to see him in a few years. Didn't let the horrible 08 get to him :)

*Dustin Pedroia: Love everything he has worked for. Been criticized, told he couldn't do it, but he still found the path to play the game he loves :D

*Jacoby Ellsbury: Stolen bases excite the game. I also love the great defensive plays he makes... too bad he only has 18 games on the season >:P

I'd say overall though, my favorite is Clay.

@Derek: You can have a favorite Sox player. I have a favorite player(s) on each team, including the Yankees... Phil Hughes grew up a Californian Red Sox fan XD And it doesn't necessarily mean you LIKE them, just that you dislike them the least.

Jacoby Ellsbury

Josh Beckett. I became a huge fan of his when he was in the minors with Portland (ME) SeaDogs who at that time was part of the Florida Marlins organization. I was able to watch him play at all his home games and a couple away games. I was excited when we traded for him and he has always been one of my favorite players.

If it has to be one it us Pedroia,however, I also like Youk and Mike Lowell who is proving people who believe he is washed up wrong.

Also Ellsberry but I don't think we will see him again this year.

I went and saw them play in Toronto. It sucked D.P. was out because he was hurt, but at least I got to see Beltre (who's a beast), Youk, and Scutaro.

Healthy Dustin Pedroia, but since he's hurt --- I enjoy watching Adrian Beltre.

I like Dustin Pedroia.
