There's really no way to get followers fast. It's not like a game where you type in a code and boom, you get more followers. (That would be pretty cool though.)
People will follow you if they like your posts. To get known or recognized, tag all of your posts. Reblog & Like things, send people messages, try to be friendly. Getting followers takes a lot of time for some people, but for others, they just come flying through the door. I've been on tumblr for months and have 400. However, this one friend on tumblr has only been on it for a week and already is reaching her 4,000th (SO UNFAIR.)
