What is the 'senior trip'?
an american wants to come visit me on her senior trip. obviously its a trip they go on as seniors but why do they have it? whats its purpose? are there requirements on where they are supposed to go?
Please help im so confused haha :)
Okay so basically they can go anywhere and they go as the group. not by themselves. It makes sense but has made me more confused about what she wants to do lol. because i went to america in january for 5 months and was a junior there so in my friends senior trip she wants to come and visit me. is that possible? it would be more expensive than going to even germany. O_o

A senior trips purpose is usually to spend one last "hurrah" with the class as a whole. Seniors will be graduating and going their seperate ways, so the trip is to put an ending to things, and for others to say a more formal goodbye to their high school years. Usually the class or the administration picks where they go, and it usually changes every year. The requirements may be things like no drinking, smoking, or drugs, but most of all, a senior trip is just to have fun with your friends from high school.

I'm from a small private school from Illinois, and our Seniors go on one every year. We went to Colorado to go skiing this year, last years class went to Ireland. But the way my school does it and all the other schools I know, we as a class have to raise the money. We started doing fundraisers in the 9th grade so by the time we were in 12th we had enough money to go....There's not really a purpose, it's just one last big hurrah before everybody goes off in different directions.....and requirements, well that has to do with the school,, my school it has to be an English speaking country, but another school I know goes to Germany every year.. Some schools go to NYC every year as a tradition, some schools let you choose.

When a senior is about to pass away the doctor gives them some heavy medication that makes them hallucinate and they're having a trip. (:
