A friend of mine. She comes from a very poor family, put herself through school, and even though she is still in school she's traveled to different countries and has seen so many things. She's accomplished a great deal for coming from a family that literally had nothing.

My best friend from high school. One of those people nobody expected much from. She's now got her Master's of Divinity degree and travels the world doing youth ministries and working with troubled teens in group homes, from Jerusalem to the Dominican Republic... she's been all over. She's done more than anyone ever thought she would.

Just off of the top of my head: Tyra Banks. I didn't really think about it, but she's the first person that came in to mind.
