Why does my laptop keep shutting down?
I have an HP laptop that has been turning itself off shorter in time whenever I turn it on. I have it plugged in, although my battery is pretty bad as if it is not plugged in, it will turn off within a minute. It also has its own cooling pad, so it cannot be overheating. Any ideas of what the cause and solution are to this problem? Thanks!
I felt the bottom of the laptop and it's not warm at all.

Okay Cooling Pads Don't Always work Or They barely Ever Work. the Main Cause Of Shutting down IS over heating.

I am not sure. you can try to reinstall OS. if no change. I think some internal problem. if it has warranty true, please ask to dealer for replacement. otherwise buy new one.

that happened to me before, appaerantly, it's a virus. i never solved that problem though.
