Well i guess that shadow is not going to post his experience with reptiles or what he keeps. i was looking forward to seeing what made him know so much more then me, before he knew what i kept.

I got my first snake when I was in the 6th grade. I'm now in my mid 30's. I have about 200 to 250 snakes of my own plus their offspring, so currently I have around 500 snakes in my possession. I spend a great deal of time looking for and photographing snakes in the wild (I don't catch them), often with a friend of mine who is a biologist who works for the state of Texas studying and investigating animal bites, including venomous snakes. We track seasonal movement and patterns of snakes, especially venomous snakes. Some of our recent work has been with massasauga and pygmy rattlesnakes. I have several permits and licenses and have given presentations on reptiles, mainly to children to help educate them and let them know that snakes aren't evil creatures that look for people to bite.
For snakes I own (most of which I breed), I'll give a brief list: Boa constrictors, Burmese pythons, ball pythons, carpet pythons, blood pythons, yellow anacondas, king snakes (5 species), milk snakes (4 subspecies), corn snakes, rat snakes (3 species), hognoses, bull snakes, gopher snakes and many other colubrids.
I also have 5 Sulcata tortoises, 2 Russian tortoises, 3 common snapping turtles and a few other aquatic turtles such as painted turtles. For lizards, I have an 8 year old, 5 1/2 foot Nile monitor, 3 blue tongue skinks, numerous leopard geckos and a red tegu. I have owned plenty of other turtles and monitor lizards in the past. I also have many non reptile animals, such as a variety of tarantulas and scorpions, in addition to black widows, a brown recluse, a giant desert centipede, millipedes and various exotic roaches.
I have also kept many venomous snakes of various species in the past and even bred a few, as well as a caiman which I had for many years. The city I now live in doesn't allow the possession of either so my "hot" snakes are kept at my biologist buddy's facility.

Until very recently I had two bearded dragons which unfortunately died (they were old though!) These were the only ones that were mine as such but I have also temporarily kept
2 Leopard geckos
Corn snakes
and a milk snake
for a couple of months whilst a friend moved house and set up new tanks for them
I'm hoping soon to get either some crested Geckos or some Red Eyed Tree frogs :)

I currently have 5 western fence lizards, a southern alligator lizard, 2 western skinks, a Great basin gopher snake, a western terrestrial garter snake, a valley garter snake, a marbled gecko, a breeding pair of crested geckos, 23 pacific tree frogs, 4 western toads, and a western long-toed salamander. in the past i have kept Malagasy plated lizards, western skinks, leopard geckos, and a variety of other native species. i plan on getting a Mali uromastyx, a Saharan uromastyx, a bearded dragon and am trying to find a rubber boa and a western yellow bellied racer. i have been field herping for ten years now and don't have any intentions of stopping.

I've only been keeping reptiles for about 2 years now (I'm 15) but it's something I'm really into and I know it will be a lifelong hobby for me. It's only been two years, but I feel as though I've done enough research to last a lifetime! I've got 2 snakes and 4 crested geckos.
Ball Python- PJ
Kenyan Sand Boa- Casper
3 female cresties- Samy, Izzie, Phoenix
1 male crestie- Doon
There used to be another female, but she passed away-Rio RIP

I have 2 leopard geckos. Their names are Captain Stitch-Mozart & Zeussical. I have had Stitch for about 2 years and Zeus since November.
Stitch is the laziest thing I have ever seen and moves in slow motion, and Zeus is a spaz. I have 2 leopard geckos that are the polar opposites, but I love them both.
I also have 2 dogs but I suppose they would be in another category.
