Go to different doctor now than the one that prescribed me birth control. How do I get refills?
So when I was pregnant with my son I had to go to a different doctors office because I didn't have insurance and this office had a payment plan for prenatal and hospital bills. After I had my son this office also did my 6 week checkup and wrote a RX for birth control pills. I since then have started to go back to my regular office and have now started to run out of refills. I called the other office from which my RX is out of and they told me that since I hadn't been seen for the yearly exam with them they can not refill it and I would have to call my regular doctor to request a RX from him. When I called my regular doctor they told me that I would have to make an actual appointment just to get a RX written which means that I have to pay another $50 copay. Have any of you had this situation before? Is there any other way around this? I cant wait until my next exam because I only have 2 months of my prescription left and it won't be for another 6 months or so. Help?!
I think maybe I'm not explaining the yearly exam thing right. I am caught up on my yearly exam I'm just right in the middle of them and need a prescription in the meantime which they are telling me I have to have another appointment for.

Well, first off you should be going for your yearly exam every year, so that is something you should do anyway. I would try a family planning clinic, like a Planned Parenthood. They usually give out prescriptions for birth control without an exam.
