I think you would enjoy owning a rabbit! Once you've purchased the basic gear for it (cage, water bottle, etc.), the cost of pellets and hay is very reasonable. Lots of kids your age get into showing their rabbits, too, which is fun and you get to meet other kids that love pets, too (*girls*). But rabbits are a good choice, too, because if you want to interact with it, the bunny enjoys the attention and as long as the basic needs are met, the bunny is ok with you missing a day or two of being played with. I have a good rabbit website with lots of care info and photos. I'm also giving you a link for a movie trailer - the movie is "Rabbit Fever". It's a documentary about 5 teens and their journey through the world of rabbit showing. True, they're in America but I'm sure rabbit showing is similar where you are. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnXWOcuPcH0&feature... And if you're in England, I believe the breed I have, llionheads, are already an accepted breed (not yet here).

My house is like a zoo lol! We have loads :)
Anyway it depends on what you want. Do you want a noisy or quiet pet, a playful or solitary pet? Small or big? Consider these.
These are pets we have had (not all at once) so I will try to describe what their likke:
Bearded Dragon: They are awesome. They grow dependig on how big their tank is. You can let them out and put them on the floor. Most of the time they sit their and lick the floor and occasionly will run but their not fast. Mine has patterns that come and go on its stomach. Somtimes its stripy a bit, sometimes it looks like circle thing but mst the time its blank. Most be mood or something. When they scared they puff up and go spiky and turn black.
Canary: These are lovely pets. They sing their heart out and are just adorable We use to let ours out the cage all the time and let if fly around the house . But you have got to be careful with windows and stuff. It always use to fly and sit on my head and pull my hair and peck my nose.
Snake: These are cool pets. They don't do much so if you are looking for something to bond with then maybe this isnt the pet. They lovely to watch though.
Rabbit: We had a rabbit. They are really nice pets. They quickly bond with you and are playful. They're not that expensive to look after. All you need to do really is spend time wit h them so their not to lonely. Ours was an outside rabbit but we use to let it in the house and it would hop about. IT was really funny it use to undo my mums shoe laces. Then she would fasten them up. And it would come back and undo them and try to drag them of her shoe. And they are usually easy to handle as long as you spend time with them
Hamsters: They can be playful or solitary. IT depends on the type you get. We had a dwarf hamster. IT was quiete hard to tame and very very fast at running so if it escapes they can be hard to get. And it slept all day so we didn't really see much of it.
Source(s): The easiest to care for is probly the Canary and its probably the cheapest - Anonymous5 years ago
Well i think a guinea pig or a chinchilla would be a good pet but if you want something smaller because you already have a rabbit you could go for maybe a hamster, mouse, rat or a gerbil which are all quite easy to clean and take care of.

Rabbits along with their cages will cost a LOT of money, so it'd be better if you get a rodent. If you get a rodent you can buy a decent cage, or even a big cage for them! Rodent aren't very expensive and since you are older and will have more to commit to later on, they don't live too long! For smaller rodents, I would suggest a gerbil (as cute and fun as the others, but less smelly!). For bigger rodents, I would suggest a rat or guinea pig (rat because I heard they are very smart and you can teach them tricks, guinea pig because they are loving to humans, you can hold them and pet them more often than smaller rodents).
Also, you could get a reptile such as a lizard or gecko. However, lizards and geckos eat live crickets and worms, so if you are scared of handling things around crickets, then a reptile isn't right for you. Also, you can get a snake, but those are even more freaky as to feed a snake you buy freeze-dried mice and rats for them. Personally that's too much for me. It's not a problem for me because I own rodents, but more because they are dead and I have to touch it.
But, if you have no problem with that, then you should get a reptile! They are more exotic. Also, reptiles will cost a bit more than smaller rodents, about the same as bigger rodents, but in the long run I think reptiles will cost more than bigger rodents.
However, it's really fun to decorate your reptile's terrarium!

pet fish good for people with pet allergies but are very boring.
hamsters easy to look after but dont let it near toxic items like lead paint. gerbils very playful and love being talked to but males smell bad.
bugees great company and yo can teach them to speak but very nosiy the list gos on these are just examples

Rabbits are pretty fun for a while but it's gets old quick with all the constant cage cleaning / moving, making sure it doesn't chew through the phone cord, cutting up vegetables for it, watching it sexually violate the plush toys you gave it for company...
