Why do all the Intelligent liberals turn to conservative by the time their 30?

Because when they grow up and mature, they realize that the idealism that the Liberal ideology thrives on is practically and realistically impossible to sustain. It cannot work in practical application. Period.

You cannot spend to save money.

You cannot hug your enemies and make them like you.

You cannot rant against Capitalism all the while participating in the Capitalist system and loving it.

You cannot redistribute what was already not enough money and expect there to be enough to go around.

Its ok to be liberal as a young-one, but if you still have the same view of the world at 30, then your just stupid.

Look, people need to pay some bills and own a home before they really "get it." When they see 60% of their pay going to subsidize other peoples lifestyle, attitudes change.

Your question should read "unintelligent liberals" and that answers itself. Hippies grew up and voted for Reagan, and he's easily the worst president of all time. He skyrocketed the national debt, skyrocketed crime, ignored real crisis facing Americans like AIDS and deteriorating access to affordable healthcare, promoted ruthless and bloody regimes overseas with illegal warfare activities and dismantled the remains of FDR's banking/business regulations paving the way for future financial meltdown and a total collapse of our manufacturing industry. I have worked (and still do) Have owned businesses, have run businesses and have IQ about fifty point above average and probably about eighty points higher than yours. Perhaps your question is based on a couple of false premises. First that "all the intelligent (notice that "intelligent is not capitalizes) liberals turn to conservatives by the time they are 30." They were not wise before they turned 30, there is a difference between being wise and being intelligent. After you turn 30 and you are wise, you become conservative.

they dont. have you ever heard of the kennedy's? besides, my parents both were college educated and pay their own bills. the best thing that they have ever done for me and my younger brother is teach us the importance of an education and the importance of caring for people who were less fortunate than us. they protested the vietnam war and have voted democratic ever since then.

Liberalism cannot survive the real world. The only libs who are adults live in places sheltered from reality like college campuses or hollywood.

There is a famous statement : "If you are under thirty and you are not a liberal, then you have no heart. If you are over thirty and you are still a liberal, then you have no brain!"

Responsiblity makes one more conservative. Commiting yourself to responsibility makes you even more conservative. Liberalism writes a blank check with insufficient funds.

When they become responsible and get a job and have a family they see where the money goes, and what it goes to.
