autocad 2010 data extraction?

can anyone tell me if it's possible to work backwards with an xls file that was created using the acad data extraction wizard? in other words, once an xls file is created, is there any way of creating a dwg file from the data in it?

No, you can not create a dwg from xls file.

If you know programming language, you can developer a program in VBA or VB.Net or Autolisp who open xls file, read data cells (coordinate x,y,z, text description etc) and create entity (pline, circle, text etc)

Also you can use Script for reading csv Excel files, see example:

Most of the drawings I deal with would require a major piece of artificial intelligence to discern anything meaningful and label it. On the other hand, even the light weight CCAD program I use often has a Measure option that allows giving angles and lengths of lines in the drawing and the area bounded by clicking on nodes. ACAD should also.
