Yes, men know if they want to marry or not.

A man could stay in a non-marriage-material relationship for a whole host of reasons like convenience, finances, fear of hurting the other person, staying because there is a child, etc.

There are such excuses as being ready financially and mentally. But time is different for everyone. Some are very cautious when deciding marriage while others are more risk takers.

CONVENIENCE. i believe some do use that excuse but I belive due to statitics people do need to prepare more financially by eliminating as much as their debt as possible because when 2 become 1 then that persons debt is yours. to not get your feelings hurt don't open your heart so wide and don't give it so often not every one deserves your heart. pay attention to a mans action, words, body language so you can tell what he wants so you dont waste your time on somebody that just want you for CONVENIENCE. best of luck
