how to fix pc after windows update reboot?
windows did an update on my desktop(windows XP), and after it shutdown and rebooted it failed to send a signal to the monitor. the monitor is fine as i am using it now on a mini-laptop.
any suggestions as to what might have happened,or how to overcome the situation will be most appreciated.
Thanks, 71 year old geezer. With no monitor, I'm unable to configure changes!
I have turned the computer off,/ disconnected all cables / restart without cables, and restart with all cables connected = zilch
might it have anything to do with my monitor configuration, at time of update, as I have it on Monitor 2 frequently to watch movies through my TV?

Have you tried plugging the monitor back into the computer? I've had to do that before, unplug then replug the monitor into the computer.
For those of you talking about System Restore and all that, apparently you didn't fully read the post. The monitor was blank. You cannot work on a blank monitor unless you know exactly where everything is and where to go without looking.

make system restore.
start, all programs, accessories, system tools, system restore (select point before your computer was ok)
