If you kill your self do you go to heaven - scripture quotes appreciated?

As a survivor of an attempted suicide, and having had a near death experience as a result, I can tell you that there is no heaven on the other side. My cousin committed suicide, but I believe he went to Heaven. He suffered the loss of his mother a month before he ended his life, and he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. I know he believed in Christ.

I really think it depends on the circumstances and the condition of the person's heart when they carry out the act of suicide.

It will be interesting to see if anyone has some biblical scriptures. None came to mind for me.

The kill yourself=hell doctrine arose out of the dark ages when the church had to tell people that to keep massive amounts of people from committing suicide because life sucked so much during that time.

One of the 10 commandments is Thou shall not kill. It does not specifically refer to others.

There is no subject on that specific.

The bible says if you die in your sins you go to hell.

If are born again in Christ you can never lose your salvation.

You cannot commit suicide to live elsewhere. That is the Bottom line.

Don't do it.
