who should i draft at number 1?
i have the first pick in my fantasy league. but i dont get another pick until the last pick in the second round because of the draft format. 1-12, 12-1, 1-12 etc. my head is saying take the obvious choice with chris johnson. but my gut is saying go with a consistent player like andre johnson, fitzgerald or a qb like manning, brees or brady. im 50-50 on taking johnson just need more sound info.

If you are planning on making the fantasy playoffs (who isn"t!), Then the clear choice is Chris Johnson. All three years of A.P.s NFL career he has put up pedestrian numbers at the end of the year. Johnson dominated at the end of the past 2 year's. He is truly a freak of nature. Seems to never wear down. You have only TWO choices with the 1st pick , bro. A.P. or Johnson. No WRs and no QBs with the first pick. Unless you plan on not making the playoffs. You might be able to get Manning or Brady, with the 24th pick. Most likely Brady will be there. Do a mock draft on Yahoo or ESPN They have 12 team mock drafts on both sites. That way you'll get an idea of where everyone is going.

So I am big on Andrew Johnson this year, but getting him with the #1 overall is not a good idea. You can make a trade for him post draft with whoever you pick in this position PLUS upgrading some of your bench players.
I think your choice here is between CJ and AP. I am firmly in the AP overall #1 pick due to Taylor being in CHI now. Peterson is going to be the all time back in MIN and will benefit immensely from it. His stats are still trending up from last season on a per carry basis and on a TD basis.

with either Johnson or AP you will be happy then at 12-1 you can grab a good qb thats still there like Rivers, Favre, Romo etc and right after that a good receiver like Moss if he falls there... im not big on Fitz with Matt as his QB and his injury

Well with the first overall pick i would take the best kicker available...
But seriously take CJ first you then might get Brady and Fitzgerald with your 2nd and 3rd round picks.
Hope i helped

If you want sound info, then read any fantasy coulmn out there.
If you are really worried that CJ hasn't done it long enough, then take Peterson. There should be no other choices. (Unless you've got unusual scoring)
