Is there such a program?

I need a program that allows for IM conversation, allows the use of Chrome, and isn't AIM or Y!IM. Also, it would be nice if it allowed multiple people to speak simultaneously (like a conversation or conference or something) and such. I know this sounds basic, but I just want some ideas. (Also, Live IM would not be all that welcome.)

Update:

Something without voice is essential, since my friend has no microphone.

I'm not sure if this is quite the solution you are looking for, but give http://www.vyew.com/ a shot. first of all it is flash based and browser based, so you dont need to download anything

once you make a room and invite your friends (or send them the direct link to the room you just made, there are guides for how to find these certain features on the website), there are chat boxes where multiple users can participate, there is web cam, there is VOIP (voice over IP), and also free conference calls.

So many options, probably one or any combination of those would serve you well.

By the way, the centerpiece of the software revolves around the features surrounding its "whiteboard". so essentially vyew is a free web conferencing software which is great for group collaboration ... for example it can be used for remote learning (e-learning), remote training, and teleconferencing.
