Should I say something or mind my own?
My husband has a buddy who comes over to hang out and occasionally brings his 5 year old son. He always has been drinking and brings at least a 6pack with him and drinks it while visiting. Me and my husband sit and talk with him but neither of us drink. It's weird. He then puts his son in the car(and only in a seat belt) even though he should be in a booster seat until age 8 and drives off after drinking 6 beers. Me and my husband both feel this is awful and I have told him I don't like it. He tells me mind my own. I want so badly to report him and him get caught. I think he deserves this if he is going to endanger his child by drinking and driving with him in the vehicle. What type of parent does this? Not a good one if you ask me. I feel like if they wreck and the child dies it is my fault for not reporting him. Then I think I should mind my own too. UGH I just wish he would stay away!
As a child of an alcoholic myself I am glad to be alive as my father put me in danger by drinking and driving many times. Thank you all for helping me with this as I know what has to be done. It may be harsh, but the life of a child is what is important here.

Not only is it wrong but if he is drinking at your home and get in an accident you may be held liable even though he brought his own alcohol. I would tell him Either he stays sober when he visits or sorry he cannot visit unless he surrenders his keys and stays until sober. If he behaved the same after this talk I would have a police man waiting in the road for him to pull out and arrest him for DUI and reckless endangerment of a minor.

Here's MY Question for You; How will YOU feel - when your husband's "buddy" rolls his Car AFTER drinking his 6 pack at YOUR house- killing both he & his son ?? You'd better have a GOOD Answer for That ready... Because the Police WILL be asking You that question- in Their Invesigation of that Accident... So I think You & your husband need to have a little "talk"- about his friend "visits..." :o
