I just heard the best suggestion to bring peace over the issue of the Mosque near the 9/11 site?

...build a gay bar at the site. That way, all the bigoted a**hole Christians and Muslims, can gather and protest together on something besides how wrong each of them are. If they both can't be happy, lets make them both miserable.

Personally, I know this is a joke, the Mosque has been approved and will be built at some point. But I am curious, what would be the gay communities opinion of being used in such a way?

Keep in mind, this was only said as a joke, but it did get me thinking. I'm just curious to your opinions please.

Update:

The site of the proposed Mosque is more than two blocks away from the 9/11 site.

What I love is that not only is it NOT a Mosque- it's a community center with a prayer room, and its NOT at ground zero, Its over 200 feet away from Ground Zero.

ALSO would the country have any problem with building a Christian church near an area that a hate group killed thousands of LGBTs? Because I really dont think so.

My vote is for the Gay Bar XDD

500 ft from ground zero putting that into a perspective for those distence challenge d most people s back yard is 150 -250 ft long . bad idea always will be enough said this is not about religious freedom , this is about the same people whom want to fund this mosque are the same people whom funded the terrorists . seems some people are all about religious freedom as long as it isnt christianity the religion this great nation was founded upon

this temple thing is all a bunch of boo ha ha hype... i could care less if the thing was built on top of ground zero, it's prime real estate and someone should be paying the taxes!

I don't think anything should be built there except maybe a memorial.
