how to format c drive?

If you format your c drive.. you will erase all including maybe windows or what you are using.

You need a bootable cd with windows for example. Insert the cd, restart, then press continuously F2(it brought me in kind of a Bios menu). That should enter the boot menu. From there you must select the drive to format and how to do it. After that it should format and then install windows .

This worked on my Pc but when i instaled WIndows 7 on my laptop, i restarted, pressed F9 or something, than in the windows instalation menu i had an advanced option. I clicked that and from there i fast formatted my c.

Don't forget to save the files you need befor formatting the drive.

If you don't know how to do it ask someone who knows.

I'm not 100% sure that these are all the steps.

if you will format the so called the c drive your computer will not have a operating system,

so after formating of c drive your computer will display message no boot drive or ntldr is missing.

you will not be able to do almost anything except of going in to bios settings

maybe you meant to reinstall your o.s.? this will format the c drive anfd install the new fresh o.s.

Jassi is the only one right here. Windows for as long as I know will not allow you to forman the drive that it is running on.

The best way is to Recover or setup your operating system. You will of course loose all your own data unless if you use a setup disk then it might offer you a repair.
